This fast-growing vine works well as a background for many perennials.  For an all white garden combine it with Shasta Daisy, White Coneflower, and Snow Queen Siberian Iris.

Clematis 'Sweet Autumn'

 Clematis terniflora

Step aside Jasmine—there’s a rival vine in the house! Clematis 'Sweet Autumn' has a whole lot of vim!  Known to grow 18 to 20 feet in just one season, this climbing vine will delight the romantic in you with its sweet fragrance that doesn’t overpower.  Cascading mounds of star-shaped, white flowers with a vanilla-like scent may just take you back to the days when, in late summer, the hot evenings were spent on a porch swing sipping iced-tea and lemonade.

Balloon Flowers complement many other flowers.  I like them with Gold Yarrow, Purple Coneflower, Orange Butterfly Plant and Shasta Daisy.               CR

Balloon Flower

 Platycodon grandiflorus

A fast growing, ornamental perennial used to create wonderful borders thanks to her long-lasting blooming season.   From late spring to late summer, balloon-shaped flower buds burst to expose star-shaped, rich blue flowers that at times, may reach 3 inches across.  The Blue Hybrid, only 16 inches tall, grows in mounds rather than the much taller stems found in other less compact varieties.
