Mexican Hat
Ratibida columnifera
This bushy plant blooms profusely with mahogany-red drooping petals edged in yellow around a central cone. It is drought tolerant and needs good drainage. Also called Prairie Coneflower they light up the garden from late spring to early fall. They are excellent cut flowers for bouquets.
